Welcome
to VILNERGOY.ORG...why vilnergoy ?
Well, I have spent some years in
Vilnius, where I have first learnt, then taught
Yiddish. As I'm not a Jew (hence a "goy"), I chose
this nickname, in honour of the great Jewish scholar,
the Vilna Gaon (in yiddish: der vilner goen).

As for me, I am a 34-year old Italian
(in 2005). Three years ago I got married, and this spring
I received my PhD in linguistics. My present job is: teacher
of English in "P. Thouar" elementary school, in my home
